From Tech Crunch, ((“ESA was made aware of a website vulnerability that led to the contact list of registered journalists attending E3 being made public,” the organization said via statement. “Once notified, we immediately took steps to protect that data and shut down the site, which is no longer available. We regret this this occurrence and have put measures in place to ensure it will not occur again.”))
This feels like the Fappening, but with hairy. Fat neck-beards being doxxed and not a bunch of super-hot actresses. E3 put a list of names on their site and left it open for people. Literally, 2, 000 journalists and industry people have been doxxed.
The funny thing is it has been sitting around a month before they took action. More than likely the YouTubers and Streamers will be affected by this leak more than the larger press. Given there are some a-holes in the gaming press, I am smelling a lawsuit.
If I start doing press for Cons, I might have to use a PO Box.
