A
Thousand Words is still at 0% on RT. I thought some hack critic would have posted a positive review by now. Currently, there are 39
critics listed with reviews, and 38 are rotten, but with 0 fresh.
How is that possible?
The new movie
only made 6 million dollars with a 40 million dollar budget. Why was
this movie budgeted at 40
million anyway? It is a comedy. (It is rumored the movie actually was 70 million)
Eddie Murphy
must be proud.
Yet, Eddie's
films are all over the place box office wise.
While Tower
Heist was hit worldwide, Imagine That only made 22 million on a 55
million budget. Norbit was a hit, but Meet Dave was a flop.
When will
Hollywood stop making these shitty Murphy films? Currently, you are
all losing money on these movies, and you're making Murphy (and Scary
Spice) richer.
I am going to
have to go through Eddie's movies one by one and discuss his creative
downfall some time.

The last non-animated movie that I really enjoyed was Bowfinger... and that came out in 1999.
I am going to say something controversial: throughout Eddie Murphy's entire career, he has probably made at most 5 really good live action movies, and majority of those were from the 1980's.
Oh, can agree with that. And, i actually like his animated stuff.
I'd say a few movies from the 90s thrown in for good measure.
I also heard that Murphy doesn't even remember his stand up routines from the 80s and is completely withdrawn from that period in his like.
