Brand new sequel: Horton hears a fart...

Box Office Jam

There really hasn’t been anything that has caught my eye since Cloverfield, but here are the Box Office numbers.

  1. 21 (2008) $15.1M $45.5M: Maybe it’s me, but I don’t see anything that’s appealing to me. I was hoping this was a flux sequel to the show 24, but I guess not. I don’t see a connection between Jack Bauer and a bunch of snotty nosed hipsters.
  2. Leatherheads (2008) $13.5M $13.5M: George Clooney seems to be pissed off at the WGA, but who cares. I might check this one out on DVD. Please, Clooney, enough with the nodding and grinning bit.
  3. Nim's Island (2008) $13.3M $13.3M: What the heck? This movie came out of nowhere. I’ve never heard of this movie. I probably will skip this one.
  4. Horton Hears a Who! (2008) $9.1M $131M: This movie has become a huge hit. I’m sure it beats the movie Cat in the Hat. Cat in the Hat has something going against it; a Paris Hilton cameo. I’m not joking.
  5. The Ruins (2008) $7.84M $7.84M: Keep in mind this movie has boobies and a R-rating. I heard this was a pretty good horror flick, but I’m sure all the PG-13 horror movies have pretty much ‘ruined’ the horror market. I also think the torture porn movies haven’t helped either.

Keep in mind that I've been hearing some bad things about 21 through reviews. So,you might have to endure a bad movie.

i keep hearing about 21, and its supposedly amazing, but i really dont see much in it... its just about a guy who keeps winning at blackjack?

It's loosely based on a true story. A group of college students figured out a "card counting" trick to beat the system. Actually, I think there are a few other groups that used their technique

Shannon Fill:   Where is she now? SF has been reviewing TNG seasons o ver at his blog. And, the episode Lower Decks came up. I recently watched Lower Decks on Net-flicks and found myself amazed with the performance from the young and lovely Shannon Fill , who played the character Ensign Sito Jaxa. Jaxa showed up in two episodes of TNG, actually they were two important episodes.   There was a nice arc to her character too.   Her character was killed off in Lower Decks , but there were plans to bring her back for an episode of DS9. Madison Swan/Mia Malkova: Not so Mother's Day

I’ve written about some messed up things in my time as a blogger, but this story might just top the cake.  And, I mean really.  If you are offended by porn and the porn industry, don’t read this blog.  However, this might be one of the strangest and creepiest things I’ve seen and read about.  It just seems so wrong... A few days ago, I stumbled across an Amateur Allure (porn) video.   AA is a polished porn site that features a lot of POV shots and newcomers in the industry.   Also, there is MILF/step daughter (pretending) porn thing out there and it’s very popular.   Even AA has a few of these “fake” mother/step-daughter teams.   It is a very popular Genre in the industry.   However, this one is different.   AA had a video claiming that a fledging pornstar Madison Swan/Mia Malkova   did a Pre-Audition video with her mother tagging along…her real mother.  Mia/Madison shows up for her “audition”, which means you show ...

Bernie Mac is Dead A bit of upsetting news... ((CHICAGO (AP) — Bernie Mac, the actor and comedian who teamed up in the casino heist caper "Ocean's Eleven" and gained a prestigious Peabody Award for his sitcom "The Bernie Mac Show," died Saturday at age 50. )) I remember watching him on Def Comedy Jam , where he really broke out. If you get a chance, check out some of his earlier work on that show. I think he was able to really shine in some of the roles he took in his movie career. He seemed to always play the creepy guy that wore bad clothes and talk in strange patterns. Friday : He was great in this limited role. He played Pastor Clever, the horny Pastor.
