I Spy:
Man oh man, this movie is lame. You
would think having Eddie and Owen
Wilson team up in this remake of the Cosby remake would be a good idea. But, the clearly comes across as by the
numbers for Eddie. There are a few good
moments here and there, namely, the camera in the eye scene.

Daddy
Day Care: This isn’t my cup of tea,
but it isn’t a terrible movie. Leave
that for the sequel without Eddie Murphy.
I don’t like that Eddie is leaning on family friendly movies at this
point. It is a far path to take from the darker action comedies he made in the
80s. Now, he’s playing around with
children. Well, the movie made a lot of
money.

The
Haunted Mansion: I never bothered
seeing this movie. I only know that it
made a lot of money and it was again a kid friendly movie. I know they are rebooting this movie again
coming up.

Shrek just farted...on you.
Shrek
2: This sequel is actually better
than the first one. The writers and
actors seem to be giving it the best in this one. Eddie is still funny as Donkey, and now dating
the dragon from the first movie. That’s
very strange. Too bad, the Shrek series
goes off the rails with the third movie.
There are some shining moments in Eddie’s career.

Eddie wants his girl to part all the time!
Dreamgirls: I love this movie and Eddie is brilliant as James 'Thunder' Early. His character is clearly a tribute to James
Brown. However, Early actually mentions
James Brown in the movie, which I find very amusing. Plus, Eddie does a good job with the music,
and shows that he can actually sing. The
music is good and the acting is great.
It really shows how the Motown era worked during those days.
