Airplane II

I watched this movie on Netflix. This sequel isn’t as good as the first movie. And, sometimes it feels like they’re trying too hard to bring out the laughs.

-There is a lot of female nudity in this PG movie. There are few more scenes of naked women in a few shots here and there. I had completely forgotten about the nudity. Sure, the first film had a naked woman too, but this one has more.

-There is an Iran joke in this movie too.

-Battlestar Galactica music: Why are they using BSG music as the main theme music? It just seems wrong. At this point, 82, all of the BSG stuff was finished on TV (Galactica 1980 was canceled)

-They actually threw in an alter boy joke before all the other jokes came out in the 2000s. It is a little distasteful here.

-Some of the follow up jokes from the first movie are kind of funny. The same lady that killed herself from the first movie shows up again.

-Shatner is pretty good as a spoof of his Captain Kirk character. He's about the only funny thing about this sequel.

I just think they tried too hard to make it as funny as the first film, given the creative team is completely different from the first film. But, it just don't make me laugh like the first film. Yet, there a few moments here and there.
