The Incredible Hulk review (part 1 of 3)

The Incredible Hulk

It’s better than that depressing 2003 Hulk movie, while it has some pacing flaws toward the middle. It’s what we wanted in a Hulk movie, a green guy busting shit up.

The Story

The story is simple without all the art house/psycho blather in the Ang Lee version. This movie is a total reboot from the first film, and there is only one aspect that they booth share (Lou Ferrigno plays a security guard in both films). Bruce Banner is on the run from military and in hiding in Brazil. The movie quickly turns into a chase movie, which is one of it strengths.

The love story is only partly annoying this time around and the dialogue is good, minus a few lines between the lovers. I do think they should have thinned out the love storyline just a bit more for good measure, but I didn’t find it boring.

You don’t need a compelling story for a big green guy that smashes cars and choppers. Just get him to smash up shit.

I also liked the fact this Hulk ends up killing a lot of people in the movie when he’s busting things up. It gives banner a reason to stop the Hulk from taking over.

agreed, this new Incredible Hulk is a lot more fun than the first one with Eric Bana; as usual Ed Norton has gravitated to a "split personality" role...

Shannon Fill: Where is she now? (Ensign Sito Jaxa)

Shannon Fill:   Where is she now? SF has been reviewing TNG seasons o ver at his blog. And, the episode Lower Decks came up. I recently watched Lower Decks on Net-flicks and found myself amazed with the performance from the young and lovely Shannon Fill , who played the character Ensign Sito Jaxa. Jaxa showed up in two episodes of TNG, actually they were two important episodes.   There was a nice arc to her character too.   Her character was killed off in Lower Decks , but there were plans to bring her back for an episode of DS9. From Memory Alpha , ((One story considered by the writing staff concerned the return of  Sito Jaxa  from  TNG : " Lower Decks ". The pitch had Sito being imprisoned under inhumane conditions and suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.  Robert Hewitt Wolfe  developed the story for some time. The Pound is out of control

The Quartering ended up completely taking down the Kino channel without any strikes.  I still don’t know how he even managed that.  He bragged that he could do it, and two days later, he did.  Somehow, he has managed to unite the right and left to mock and call him out.  The Quartering can no longer attack Zoe Quinn or Anita, given that he uses the same tactics.  Hell, both Quinn and Mundane Matt admitted they flagged things down.  When Quinn is a bigger man about it, that is saying a lot.   My theory is that he was in a cuck like relationship. He got caught, the bull got outed, and he is playing complete damage control.  I think he doesn’t like that his current religious grift is outed as fake, that he wants to burn it all down.  Looking back at all the videos, he has some serious bounty issues.   The Internet never forgets, and Jeremy knows this.  He still wants to burn it all down.  Okay.
