Lucky Number Slevin

Bruce Willis: “You sucked in Hollywood Homicide.”

Josh Hartnett “But, you did The Whole Ten Yards, Hudson Hawk and Moonlighting.”

Lucky Number Slevin

I'm not a fan of Josh Hartnett and I probably will never be a fan. However, given that the actors surrounding this movie (Bruce Willis Morgan Freeman and Ben Kingsley ) are good, I decided to give this movie a chance in my DVD player. Lucky Number Slevin is a lot better than I thought it would be. The acting from most of the crew is spot on, especially from Morgan Freeman.

Slevin gets caught up in a twisted case of mistaken identity, and two competing mob bosses want him to play up. Lucy Liu also finds her way mixed up with Slevin. I liked seeing how the movie turns completely dark toward the end, but it all makes sense when you put all the pieces together. Sometimes the movie looses itself in some silly scenes, and Hartnett sucks mostly through the movie, except at the end. BTW, Willis doesn't say much throughout the movie.

While not a great movie, it held my interest. And, the big plot twist was enjoyable. So, if you run out of movies to watch, check this one out.

Willis really doesn't need to say much. He's one of the few actors out there today who can deliver his dialogue better with an expression than many of his peers with a preponderance of words.

Agreed, Willis has proven time and time again that he's more than just an action star. He's a good actor and says some much with his looks. He's moved away from action roles into more thoughtful roles.
