Mr. Men: 76 th Birthday of the creator Roger Hargreaves ( 1935- 1988  ) I opened my browser and clicked on the Google page.  I say one of the drawings from the Mr. Men universe, and it brought back some fond memories from my childhood.  When you clicked “refresh” on your browser, you would get a different Google doodle in the shape of the Mr. Men and Little Miss series of characters.  Before gameboys and X-Box Live, little children had to crack open children books to read. It was one of t he series of books my mother used to buy for m e. I don't even remember how many I had, but I had a lot of them. I remember sitting in my bedroom reading them over and over again. The best thing about each book, which were centered on one character, was that other characters from the series would make appearances in the other books. Random Stuff ~ Epic Beard Man is homeless : Okay, so he shoplifts and walks around the city. He is basically begging at this point. I remember watching the Internet treat this guy as a hero . I do like his MJ hat though. His 15 minutes of fame is over and he's in bad shape today. I'm not sure what to think about the situation. I know that he blames Obama for his plight, not sure how. We've seen others that were in bad shape before taking their new fame and not handling it that well either. Prank Call gone wrong for the host What happens when the host can’t hang up on the prank caller? There are so many cool things worth noting.  I just love that the guy stays on the line for a long time.  I love that host can’t even hang up on him.  Hr tries to hang up on the guy for like 2 minutes.  I couldn't find that much on this “wonderful” show. But this show seems to listed over here . Because the producer he mentions (Jim) is listed there. It looks like this show is still going on. Who knows how many prank calls he gets now. Jack Sparrow (feat. Michael Bolton) Okay, I have officially turned the tide on the Michael Bolton thing. I didn't really care for the guy at first, but this music video has sent me into the Bolton camp. I love their reaction to Bolton's Jack Sparrow hooks. That's what makes the song funny. They're rapping about going clubbing and Bolton wants to sing about Pirates. Side note: Isn't that Robin Wright from Forrest Gump in a cameo? I do believe that is Robin Wright as Jenny again. I have to give her credit for showing up here.  

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers Did you know Ice-T wrote the lyrics for this song?   Since I am neither a mother nor a day, I like to thank my mother for bringing me into the world and being there when my father wasn’t around.   She had to be both a mother and a father.   She had to deal with my lower points in my life.   I was one a lonely, depressed kid.   She worried about me when most people didn’t and for that I am thankful.   While I didn’t have the best childhood, I was thankful for having a good mother to raise me.   She was a schoolteacher and had to raise two boys on her own.   When she had to battle cancer two years ago, I spent hours by her side as she received chemo treatment.   She was strong and handled the news of her cancer better than I could ever imagine.   She is truly an inspiration She’s always been a true champ.   So, do as Mr. T says, “Treat your mother right.”   This is the remix… Source ( http://w...

Easy A Somehow, this teen comedy ended up being pretty entertaining.   The script is Meta enough to make fun of itself and other teen dramas and comedies.   The movie is fun and funny with some clever writing and acting as well.   There are a few missteps, but this Emma Stone starring movie is a great showcase into how much of talented actress she really is.    With a clever script and acting, Easy A is a neat little movie.   Call me surprised. In a manner of speaking, the movie is remake of The Scarlet Letter .   However, the movie and the characters know that it is a remake of that novel.   Stone’s character is a virgin that accidently or incidentally lies about having a one-night stand with an older guy.   Someone overhears the fake story and everyone in high school starts to believe it.   Even some of the rejects in school start to pay her gift cards to make up lies about having sex with her.   So, Stone’s character takes on t...

Heather Morris: Probably the best thing about Glee at the moment I like it a lot. I've watched the video above about five times now. I remember watching the first few episodes of Glee and being attracted to this fine lady. There's just something I find really sexy about her. Maybe it is because she has a slightly unconventional look. This Heather Morris is not the same actress that does videogame voice work . I haven't watched Glee in a while, I might just check it out for her.

Superman drinks because he just read the script for Superman IV. __________________________ Superman III Deleted scene Kid Get’s stuck in a tree I know Richard Lester wanted recall the scene in Superman 1 with the cat being stuck in the tree, but here it is so uneven and poorly directed that it doesn’t hold a candle to that first movie scene.  It was a poor decision to cross Pryor with the Superman franchise. The results of this combo actually stopped Eddie Murphy from starring in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Here is a Vintage Making of feature for Superman III . You can clearly tell Christopher Reeve isn't too happy about the whole Reeve and Richard Pryor thing. Richard Lester was all wrong for part of the director. His direction is fast and cheap. I still like the whole Evil/Good Superman subplot. Superman actually lets a guy die and becomes a complete jerk. I still enjoy watching the fight scene between Superman/Clark in the junkyard.
