The mighty Quinn II

Image
Well, it has been two years since Quinn updated her supporters on that FMV game she was making.  And,  the comments have been brutal.   Keep in mind many of these people were the ones that supported her during GG.  My thing has always been to support your beliefs and even SJW causes, just don’t support Zoe Quinn.  She is a grifter that gets into a field and builds up protection around her in the  disguise  of being an SJW.  She comes into these groups and burns bridges as her white knights protect her exit.     Sophia  Narwitz  has done an outstanding job writing another post about Quinn on her  anniversary  of not updating her supporters .     It does  frustrate  me that the gaming press protects her at every turn.  It angers me when one of her allies speaks out about her and gets blacklisted.  It pisses me off that she hasn’t even bothered to talk to her backers...

Did Superman kill Zod in Superman II?

Image
One of the things that always bothered me growing up was that Superman defeats a de-powered  Zod  in the final few minutes of the movie and throws him down a pit.  Being an idiot, Non  falls down himself.  And Lois punches Ursa into the pit.  Did Lois and Superman murder these  villains ?     Here’s where things get  complicated .  There are at least 3-4 cuts of the film that have completely didn’t endings and subplots.  The Lester cut clearly has the three villains disappear from the movie through the pit, thus meaning they’re dead.  And, given Lester had the three villains murder a young child, and a whole of people, it is a fitting end.  And,  Zod  does die by Superman’s hands in the comic book.  Actually, Superman kills all three villains using Kryptonite.  The Lois smiling is a bit strange considering that she “killed Ursa”.     The original Donner ending for the  vill...

When James Avery showed up on Family Matters

Image
I actually remember this clip way back in the day.  This prank/outtake happened way back in 1993.  The Fresh Prince show was on the air and was a huge hit.  Avery was just finishing his run as the voice of Shredder on TMNT and was still doing his gig on NBC.  He showed up on a different network to do this cameo/joke/prank.  I guess the writers/producers/director pulled this prank on  Reginald VelJohnson.   When  you see Reginald's reaction, it is very real.     I always like these outtakes.    The fact these two actors were on two networks didn't bother the producers and it is a nice tip of the hat to each show.  You really can't do that now.  Remember the Ally McBeal/The Practice crossover?  Besides, you couldn't have a true Fresh Prince/Family Matters crossover because the Fresh Prince show was fictional in the FM universe...perhaps you could retcon it.

John K, someone call Chris Hansen.

Comedy Central is bringing back Ren and  Stimpy  in the coming months.  It seems,  via KF,  I’ve learned some disturbing things about the creator of R&S.  Despite growing up loving R&S in the 90s,  Kricfalusi  is a bit of a  t errible person...allegedly   and it  makes me sort of not like R&S .   Yet, like Bevis and Butthead, R&S spoke to me and supported my brand of off-the-mark humor.   I  know Buzzfeed gets a lot of shit, but they did do a pretty good   story about the allegations and even have a disturbing picture.    Uh, dude, this is not right in any way.  She’s like 15 or  16, just  learning to drive a freaking car.  She hasn’t even had her prom yet.     From Buzzfeed,  ((In the summer of 1997, before her senior year of high school, he flew her to Los Angeles again, where Byrd had an internship at Spumco,  Kricfalusi’s  studio...
