Wow, they really did a great job with the redesign. They promised to change the movie and pushed back the release date to February.
-The New Sonic: They put a lot of care into the redesign and the eyes look better. The bigger eyes make Sonic look more expressive and animated. They added larger hands/gloves and gave him bigger ears.
-Some added jokes?: They probably added more jokes whenever it is just Sonic on the screen. He seems more playful. Did you notice The Flash shoutout? That is a nice touch.
-JJ Fad’s Super Sonic: This is a better song for the promotional material than Coolio’s song in the earlier trailer. It makes way more sense.
-Jim Carey Dr. Robotnik: Carrey is very good as Robotnik. The problem is are there two Robotniks? The first trailer has one Earth version and the end of the trailer showed a movie version of Robotnik with a different hairstyle and facial hair. Hmm? It is rumored that the old school Robotnik was added in reshoots. Is this old school version now deleted from the movie? BTW, Earth Robotnik dresses more in the old school clothes from the games
