Deadpool 2: The X-Men cameo
There are a few problems with D2, but it is a pretty funny movie. It builds upon the jokes from the first movie. Does Deadpool fit into any of the X-Men timelines? Nope, and that’s that point. Heck, Deadpool is not even sure which universe he’s in either and even talks about the DC universe. The joke about the X-Men hiding from Deadpool is a bit of a payoff and insider joke with the first movie. I love the notion of the X-Men hiding from Deadpool because he’s so annoying. They let three of the members deal with DP and not the main guys.
By the way, notice Quicksilver shaking his head in disgust as the door closes. You can see Storm try not to laugh too. And, yes that was the current cast of the latest X-Men movie, which I am told is in a lot of trouble. They filmed the cameo on their set and sort of green-screened in DP. Neat cameo, but it does cause some even more continuity problems, but that won’t matter when they reset everything into the MCU and throw DP in there.
