Batman Returns

Since the Agony Booth did a review on Batman Returns, I figured I'd add more of my thoughts on this depressing film.  
Ah, this is Tim Burton’s art movie with Batman having a cameo in it.  It is so dark and dreary without a strong plot.  Burton has always been weak on plot.  He is style over substance. 
Why does Catwoman have cat powers?  She was just a normal cat burglar in the comics and the cartoon show.  
I just wished Burton would have left out Batman altogether and made his freaky little gothic movie, but this isn’t a Batman movie.  Batman Forever is more of a Batman movie than this dreary piece of film. 

To be fair, Elfman’s score for “Returns” is very good.

There are many issues with this film, but I like to think the casting was done excellently for the villians.

One of my first memories of Christopher Walken is from this movie.

Walken ruled in that movie. He actually outshines the other two villains. He really did do an outstanding job in the movie.

I read that they orignally had Oswald (penguin) and walken's characters being brothers. Which would have made the movie a little better.

Shannon Fill:   Where is she now? SF has been reviewing TNG seasons o ver at his blog. And, the episode Lower Decks came up. I recently watched Lower Decks on Net-flicks and found myself amazed with the performance from the young and lovely Shannon Fill , who played the character Ensign Sito Jaxa. Jaxa showed up in two episodes of TNG, actually they were two important episodes.   There was a nice arc to her character too.   Her character was killed off in Lower Decks , but there were plans to bring her back for an episode of DS9. a U of L cheerleader gets into a little bit of trouble...

The Internet can be a dangerous place, and things that you did with that camera can come back to ruin your life. A very attractive University of Louisville cheerleader by the name of Becca Manns took some pictures of herself naked and also having sex with a dude. Either her memory stick or camera was stolen, and the theft uploaded the graphic photos onto the World Wide Web. That was when the shit hit the fan (Louisville Fan). She ended up having to leave the program and probably school. (I am currently enrolled in UofL as well, but you won't find any photos of me.) I sort of feel sorry for her because she did one crazy thing, and now it has ruined her life. However, I have to say this to her: You were given a chance to do something many people would never get a chance to do, go to an University. Bernie Mac is Dead A bit of upsetting news... ((CHICAGO (AP) — Bernie Mac, the actor and comedian who teamed up in the casino heist caper "Ocean's Eleven" and gained a prestigious Peabody Award for his sitcom "The Bernie Mac Show," died Saturday at age 50. )) I remember watching him on Def Comedy Jam , where he really broke out. If you get a chance, check out some of his earlier work on that show. I think he was able to really shine in some of the roles he took in his movie career. He seemed to always play the creepy guy that wore bad clothes and talk in strange patterns. Friday : He was great in this limited role. He played Pastor Clever, the horny Pastor.
