Hellboy (2019) not a review, just a fart

Hellboy (2019)

What a complete and utter mess of a movie.  It is like the writers just threw a bunch of random plot threads together into a 2-hour movie. The movie was so unpleasant that I stopped watching during the third act mark.  You can piece together something like this and have it feel organic. Things and subplots happen without much impact on the so-called main story.  It is frustrating because the first two Hellboy movies were very streamlined.
I read that the producers and the director had so many battles onset that the main actor would walk off the set. The weakest part of the movie is story and script.  There are at least three different versions and visions shoehorned together.  It is so bad that I dare you to get through the entire movie.  Does the good director Neil Marshall take the blame for this mess?  Probably a little but not all.
So, this really isn’t a review but more of a vent.
-Why even make this a reboot?:  There is no reason to make a reboot considering it they could have shoehorned this into the already established Hellboy movie series.  I think the reboot was a way to shit on the
-What was the point of the giant storyline and the “heel-turn” by Hellboy’s allies?:  The giant side plot makes no sense.  after watching that sense, I checked out of the movie and went into autopilot.
-Jumbled mess:  The movie has King Arthur, Nazis, giant hunters, witches, pig man, and were-cats.  just one of these concepts would work for a Hellboy movie, but they don’t work together as the writers wrote it in this movie. These concepts would work better as Amazon or Netflix series.  There is a way to tie these concepts together with a long-term narrative.  What was the point of forcing them into one damn movie?
-David Harbour is pretty good as Hellboy:  The problem is the one-liners aren’t that funny as Ron Perlman’s version.  I even like the makeup job, but he acts a bit more teenager like than the first movie.
-Milla Jovovich: Okay, she is pretty good as the main villain.  It is too bad that there isn’t any meaty for her do.
