Constance McMillen tricked into fake prom.

Constance McMillen tricked into fake prom.

From the advocate.com, ((To prevent Constance McMillen from bringing a female date to her prom, the teen was sent to a "fake prom" while the rest of her class partied at a secret location at an event organized by parents.))

Wow, that sound like something from a teen comedy where the bully kids trick the outcasts into going to another prom. Did they rip a page out of the defunct script of the Revenge of the Nerds remake?

It takes a lot to piss me off, and this little incident just did.

Mississippi, I’m disappointed in you. I can’t believe in this day and age someone would pull something this low just to hurt a young woman’s feelings. Regardless where you sit on the gay rights fence, you have to agree that what they did here all around was pretty shitty and cowardly. (Note: If you sit in the middle of the fence, that might hurt a bit.)

If you remember, there was a case where the Itawamba student wanted to go to the school prom with her lesbian girlfriend. When a group of individuals puts so much energy into holding down another, you have to look into why they’re wasting so much time. What does it matter if Constance brings a female date? Does it harm you in anyway? No.

The stance everyday heterosexuals should have when it comes to gay rights is this; “I don’t care what they do. They can do whatever, because it’s not hurting me.” This is the stance I have. It shouldn’t matter.

That is the problem I have with major hate, it takes up too much time and energy to hold someone back.

But it gets worst. There is a very disturbing facebook that is all about attacking the young lady that just wanted to take her date to the stupid prom. “Constance quit yer cryin” is the name of the group. (Did Yosemite Sam create this group?) I get a kick out of the fact people proudly put them name in the group.

Like I stated before, would someone's prom be ruined if two chicks showed up together? No. It is time for some of these adults to look in the mirror and consider the actual worth of canceling the prom and tricking the girl. Was it really worth it?

The concept of Prom Night is rather stupid, but that's for another discussion.
