Given that Matt has a Google Alert on his name and is worried about everything said about him, he’ll probably read this.
Ego is such a damaging thing.
During GG, I defended Matt and was a supporter during his time in GG. When GG faded, Matt slowly became the thing he was against. He started to use the same tactics as SJW folks were doing at the time...de-platforming critics. Just like Zoe Quinn, Matt started to control everything people said about him and wanted to shut down people’s negative views about the boulder king. He was obsessed with people making fun of him and basically did the terrible thing of flagging down fellow content creators.
Every time a new offshoot of GG would appear, Matt would try to shove himself into the narrative as if to relive 2014. The problem with that is it isn’t 2014. The various groups would push back against Matt and some of their channels would appear to have flags on them for harassment or get age-restricted.
If you want to make a living on the Internet, you have to have thicker skin. People are always going to hate you. You don’t try to shut down people behind the scenes. This is what Zoe Quinn did and somehow Matt has become a male version of her.
GTG goes over the good stuff that happened when the reveal of Matt’s mass flagging happened. My biggest issue with Matt is that he’s trying to do a redemption run now that Raph has turned into a mess. Just because your biggest nemesis has made an ass out of himself does that mean other people have forgiving or forgotten what you did.
Side Note: It seems Matt Jarbo has now turned away from his True Crime channel and turned to live streaming again. While his views have jumped up slightly, he still hasn’t reached his pre-boulder-gate days. I think he'll hover around 400-1.5K views for the rest of his YouTube career.
