Anson Mount liked playing Captain Pike, but not much else it seems

There have been reports of issues among the series runners for the past two years of the show. CBS had to fire two of the producers halfway through the second season. As I stated before, Anson Mount is great as Pike and would hope to see Pike and Spock get their own series (making it more like the Orville). You could also carry over some of the threads from ST Enterprise too. However, CBS has no idea what they're doing. They're willing to blow their money on Discovery and not invested in a Pike series. Having a Pike and Picard series would make me pay for a sub at CBS.

There have been reports of Mount not getting along with directors and other issues. And, someone does need to take over make the shoots a 7-day affair. That's how you save money. Keep it lean and mean like the TNG/DS9 style. Spend your money on the mid-season two-parters and the season finale. Come on, CBS, make a spinoff with Pike and let someone from DS9 or TNG run the show.
