Fat Albert and the Dreaded R-Word

Fat Albert and the Dreaded R-Word
When I saw this short clip, I thought it was made up or faked. However, it is very much a real episode of Fat Albert. this clip literally popped up in my YouTube suggestion feed and I watched it. The clip grew in popularity recently and the Double Toasted folks took a crack at it.
For some reason, this kid's design looks similar to that of Gary Coleman. And, Cosby and Coleman would show up in the same movie during this time. The show handles this issue is rather progressive for its time (the 70's). However, it lays on the message rather thick. Using the word "retarded" seems a bit off by today's standards.
Given I lived through similar issues, the kid in the show seems to be closer to having learning disabilities and maybe some autism than what the show is trying to convey. I had trouble connecting to other students and had to take a longer time to understand school projects especially math. I kind of acted detached from the rest of the student body. So, I understand what this show was trying to do, but fails due to its age. It is a good message but is too loud for its own good.
Ah, 70's and 80's cartoons. Keep in mind these are the same people that made Star Trek the Animated Series and He-Man. The man behind the studio Lou Scheimer passed away back in 2013.
And, there were other "Very special episodes".
Anyway, I got a kick out of watching these old Fat Albert episodes. I used to watch them at school all the time.

Side Note: Miss Wucher is hot. I remember rule 34 and I did some digging.  Heu, Wucher, give me a call.

Really? Not even a boob joke is safe?

Great, now a lesbian comedian can't even make a breast joke on Twitter. These two are clearly friends and I am sure they make a lot more dirt tier jokes outside of twitter. By the way, this is where we are now at, Twitter? This is what we're offended by?
And, you clearly see Katy smiling as Ellen peers into her fun balloons. They are just having fun and some people have to twist it into something sinister.
I am no expert on female to female behavior, but many of friends to make these dirty jokes just like men do. Relax, people. This is not the same as a fat rich guy groping and trying to pressure actresses in his bedroom. I love how the far left and right are attacking her over this harmless photo.
I am not a boob guy, but even I have to give Katy Perry praise on her “balloons”. I am not going to leer, but I will give you a passing glance. And, it should be noted that she's made fun of her body numinous times like that SNL thing.
As I stated before, I am not a boob guy, but damn.

Random Things

Random Things
~I not doing that well mentally, but I am getting through it.
~Polygon editor goes after Nintendo: As much as I hate Polygon, he is partly right about Nintendo. The big N is set in its ways and doesn't understand that the gaming world has changed.
However, he shouldn't have attacked the fans. The best part is he didn't lose his save file. Perhaps, you shouldn't tweet as much. When you get mad, think before tweeting.  I love that he had a meltdown and then realized he didn't need to have said meltdown. ReviewTech is right that the gaming press is going to cover his back. I've noticed this a lot this year. The Alex Mauer story wasn't really covered by the press either.  You would think the gaming press would get tired of just writing about how hard is Cuphead. If it was a YT journo, we would see story after story about it.
~George HW Bush and that groping thing: Wow, I guess George is a dirty old man that gives him an excuse to grab onto women. This really bothers me, because people can throw it under the bridge due to him being an old man in a wheelchair. It kind of reminds me of that Taylor Swift photo incident where that DJ grabbed her ass.  I kind of liked HW Bush and this has changed the way I look at him.

~Kellogg has some explaining to do?: Someone called out Kellogg for having one of their boxes and noticed one of the only one corn character was brown and the rest were yellow. The brown one was a janitor. Okay, it is probably a bit racist, but is it really something we should be concerned with given the real racism going on around the world? I can call it out, but I want to be more focused in on the skinhead that rams his car into people than a damn brown corn cartoon character. Come on people stay focused on meaningful things. Damn, do I hate twitter. Actual racism teaches racism to kids. Is it racist? Yes, but we have bigger issues in race relations to deal with than a shitty corn character.

bless you, f' you

bless you, f' you

I sneezed and it always bugs me because some asshole takes it upon themselves to bless you. I didn't want to acknowledge the said person, but I have to say "thank you" just because someone has decided to “bless me”. How about we say "bless you" when we hear someone farting? A fart is a similar type of thing that makes a sound. Most of the time I just want to not be noticed and left alone. I have to worry about sneezing and having someone help me out by blessing me.
I truly hate when I get some concerned person giving me a damn “bless you” when I sneeze. It just bothers me like when people hold the door for me. Stop being nice to me. Yes, I know it is an old superstition, but can we evolve beyond this stupid tradition? I get paranoid when I feel a sneeze coming up.
There are the stories behind the “bless you” superstition
1 Your heart stops and people are blessing you.
2 Your spirit tries to escape and they are blessing you in order to get the spirit back in your body.
3 It seems most people really believe that it came from one of the Popes.
From Got Question, ((During a plague that occurred in Italy in AD 590, sneezing was, or was thought to be, a sign that someone was getting sick with the plague. There is a legend/tradition that Pope Gregory I commanded that, any time a sneeze was heard, the sneezer was to be blessed by saying, “God bless you,” (and making the sign of the cross over his mouth) as protection against the plague. Again, there is no biblical validity to such superstition. At the same time, there is no biblical reason to believe it is sinful to bless someone after a sneeze—in fact, it might just be a good time to extend a kind word and say, “God bless you.” ))
So, when someone says “bless you”, just say, “F' you” back to them. That way they'll never say it back to you or anyone else. Let's end this tradition and make the world great again.

IP Camera Trolling fun

IP Camera Trolling
Because I watch a lot of Vent Harassment vids, YouTube sometimes sends me suggestions for IP Camera Trolling videos. I love that the actor reacts to howl first and his agent realizes that the camera has been hacked. Basically, the hacker had to do a little research into the ad he's talking about. Anyway, here's the ad.
Why is there a guy playing the tuba in the middle of a Saturday night?  (actually, that might be a baritone)
What is an IP camera? From the Wiki page, ((An Internet protocol camera, or IP camera, is a type of digital video camera commonly employed for surveillance, and which, unlike analog closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras, can send and receive data via a computer network and the Internet. ))
And, people find ways to hack into the cameras and troll people. It is a big trolling thing and it even has YT channels devoted to it.

Virtuosity Kapow

I was listening to the How did this get made podcast about this horrible, but often overlooked movie. They mentioned this scene and I always remembered this scene any time it pops in my head.
Kapow!”
There is so much wrong with the entire scene that it is worth noting all the stupid moments in the scene.
-Why would people chant “KaPow, KaPow” during the damn fight? Doesn't that take away from the “amazing” match going on in the ring? Who started the chant? Was it Michael Buffer?
-Was the cameraman really into just this one chick? It was such a problem that the announcer had to say something about it.
-You have to love that after Russel Crowe kills that guy in the crowd, the crowd still continues with the chant. Some of the folks actually start to cheer too.
-Was Crowe going to bite her on the neck like a vampire?
-Was that her boyfriend or her “boss”? He seemed a bit too sleazy.
Despite knowing this movie is crap, I will watch it every time because it is so campy and silly. Crowe is great as the “BAD” guy, and Washinton is trying to make a good movie. As long as you view this piece of crap as an FMV CD video game from the 90s, you'll like it too.

DSP okay

DSP okay
Because he is such an ass, I enjoy the more minor trolling he receives. Like this Instagram trolling, it gets to him. Every time he posts something stupid on his IG, he receives a bunch of people leaving “okay” on each and every posts. That gives me a big laugh. Just something this small bothers him.
When I want to post a picture, I usually just put it up on the blog. I really don’t use social media anymore.  I just can’t understand the concept behind IG. However, people trolling him is rather funny.
While I might set up an IG account to host some photos, am I required to take random pictures of food? It seems to be the case in FB and IG posts.  Would someone be interested in the food I am about to consume?  Maybe a picture of where it ends up would be more interesting.

Seth MacFarlane called out Harvey Weinstein way back in the day

Seth MacFarlane called out Harvey Weinstein way back in the day
You can hear the groans in the crowd after the remark. I guess Seth didn't get the memo that “were not supposed” to talk about that. Being Weinstein is a dick-head, I am certain he called Seth afterward and gave him a “talking to”.
Harvey is a terrible guy and Hollywood knew about it but kept it under wraps.
Does this make your skin crawl?

Crazy lady vs bus

This is why I don't use public transportation

There are people generally just trying to make a living, and they have to put up with this shit. At a certain, the ghetto-acting lady needed to drop it but decided to keep going. There comes a time when you have to realize you are wasting your time. In the black community, we've let this ratchet behavior take over and define us. We can be better than this.
The other lady is right...let it go.  Then, the crazy lady had to throw in one more insult about his looks.

Jaden Smith: Batman

Jaden Smith: Batman
Jaden Smith really annoys me. He's everything bad about the born rich entitled kids from talented parents. Jaden is a talentless hack that is a blight on the creative world with his shitty movies and music. He's a guy we all wish would just go away. Thanks to his new shitty Netflix show, I've been seeing Jaden's stupid mug show up in my YouTube feed. I decided to watch this music video.
Now, the reason this music video and song exist is that Jaden dressed in a full Batman suit for Kanye West's wedding for no reason other than to be “different”. I think he honestly believes he is Batman. So, I guess it makes sense for him to make a song about it. From his point of view, it makes sense.

About that CBS person

Hayley Geftman-Gold

I really didn't want to write about the shooting because I am not in the best place mentally for it. However, this story about a CBS higher-up has caught my attention.
From Business Insider, ((If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs will ever do the right thing," Geftman-Gold wrote in comments that have since been deleted from her Facebook page. "I’m actually not even sympathetic bc country music fans often are Republican gun toters." ))
She was fired after the post from her high-powered job from CBS.
I've called out the far right when they have made insensitive remarks and the past. This is no different. Even if you felt that way, why even bother saying that just after the gunshots have just stopped? It shows a disconnect. I think things have gotten so “us vs them” that we no longer see the other side as being human. It is so sad that we're so divided as a nation. These people didn't deserve to have hundreds of bullets rained down on them. And, I can see how Hayley can't show an ounce of empathy for the victims.
Keep in mind this goes both ways. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean you run them over with your car or smash them over the head with your bike lock. Something nasty has come over us as a nation when it comes to politics and identity politics. I personally want nothing from it.
I may not agree with “gun-toting REP crowds” but that doesn't mean I have to be an ass about their plight. I kind of miss the cynicism of the 90s when people really didn't take their political stances as serious as they do today.
Anyway, should she have lost her job because of her comments? I generally lean toward people not losing their jobs over bull-crap they say over social media. I honestly can't answer this one because of the total disregard for human life. I do think people, professionals, need to really rethink about sending a tweet or Facebook post when forming an opinion. However, it does bother me that there was a witch-hunt for her after her remarks as people tried to get her fired from her job.
When it comes to these type of incidents, we have to be sensitive to the situation and discuss accordingly. While I don't think people should police our thoughts and voices, we should consider how to convey thoughts. Perhaps, even show some compassion despite our political views.

In Chris Chan we trust...

In Chris Chan we trust...
I had written out a post about Chris Chan getting a “girlfriend”, but that post was moot because he has allegedly broken up with her. I asked, “What kind of woman would want to deal with a smelly mess that is mentally breaking down?” Well, “Jessica” may have been a troll/white knight. She was supposed to have gone on a date with him. She must have gotten cold feet and dumped his ass twice. The second one appears to have been a fabrication of a Facebook hack. She blamed it on the trolls and broke up with him.
Why would any woman risk trolling or white knighting him due to his mentally unstable mind?
After all the trolling, you would think he would have known by now that no true woman would want to be with him unless it was a ruse. Somehow, he was able to receive a breakup BEFORE the actual first date.

The Orville: My thoughts (Part 1 of 2)

The Orville
Make no mistake about it, this is a Star Trek series. Wel, in the spirit it is. It is under the guise of a comedy/parody of the Trek universe. However, it's more of a drama with some light-heart comedy thrown in. This is NOT a straight comedy as the Fox ads try to convey. The drama elements work with some of the humor portions working from time to time.

It is a spiritual sequel to the TNG with its hopeful view od the future and its brand of bright storytelling. However, it wants to discuss serious issues through the brand of TNG's storytelling.
After Ted2, I wasn't looking for to Seth MacFarlane live action stuff. However, I find myself really enjoying this show. And, the writing has gotten progressively better as the show gone on.
The Orville actually handles things much better than Voyager as far as character development and sci-fi stories go. It feels, sounds and looks like a direct sequel to TNG. If you didn't know already, Seth MacFarlane is a huge Star Trek fan. He really loved TNG DS9 and TOS. He has put in numerous trek callbacks into Family Guy and the Enterprise plays a big part in Ted 2.
The worst thing I can say about the series that Seth decided to go with VOY and ENT creator Brannon Braga as one of the creative driving forces behind the show. Braga is one of the reasons ENT and Voy failed in my opinion.
However, a lot of trek alum show up for the series. Jonathan Frakes Robert Duncan McNeill and James L. Conway are directing episodes just to give it that TNG smell. Plus, Penny Johnson Jerald from DS9 is a member of the main cast.
So, I watched the first three episodes of this series. To my surprise, the series has some really good elements. The first episode is more interested in personal problems that befall Seth's character. It is the moving point for the first episode. We've all had personal issues set us back professionally. I even like the way they resolved the personal issue.

Monopoly Man shows up in the Equifax hearing

Monopoly Man shows up in the Equifax hearing

From Fortune.com, ((One of the people attending the ongoing Senate Banking Committee hearing today (in which Equifax CEO Richard Smith is testifying) decided to dress up for the occasion. He’s there as Rich Uncle Pennybags, the mustachioed, top-hatted, monocle-wearing character that appears on so many Chance and Community Chest cards in the game. ))
When I read this, it put a smile on my face. I love real life trolling. And, it is on a congressional level. Rich Uncle Pennybags is the name of the Monopoly Man. That is like Scrooge McDuck. Anyway, I thought it was funny that someone went to the trouble of trolling in real life. Plys, they had to sit through boring congressional bullshit to get the photo-bomb,

By the way, I suck at Monopoly. I lost all my money rather quickly and never really played the after that. I guess I would make a shitty businessman. Heck, I don't even play the Monopoly game at McDonald's.

DSP tried it...WWE

Guess who made it to WWE...sort of?

If you read carefully, someone put up a sign that says (DSP get a job). Since DSP is a huge fan of the current WWE brand (why?), he was bound to see this on TV. Anyway, Phil did have a rather muted response to the minor trolling.
Hey, you finally made it to the WWE.  Too bad it is the current version.

Michael Jackson’s Joy

Michael Jackson’s Joy
I have mentioned that MJ originally had sung the Blackstreet song joy. Teddy Riley and Michael wrote the song for MJ's Dangerous album. but MJ turned it down. Riley was one of the major producers on MJ's later albums and he got to make the decision on which songs made it on the final track listings. This song didn't make it. Teddy says that MJ didn't feel it. Here's Teddy's story behind the switch and so on.
I heard about this song being a Michael Jackson song years but I didn’t know that there was an actual demo out there. So to my surprise, I discovered that there really is an MJ demo. Michael did all the lyrics for the song with the even instrumental strings for backup.
So Teddy’s group took up the song under the Blackstreet name. If you listen carefully you can hear Teddy singing in the background of the demo. In the final Blackstreet song, you can hear the tone of Michael Jackson's singing in the final product. This song turned out to be a major hit for Blackstreet.
There are three versions of this song worth noting. There is the more string heavy music video version and the normal album version. Then, there is a slightly faster hip-hop remix.
