Random Things

Random Things
~Kim Kardashian being paid to “Like” Bahrain: Of course, she gets paid to write stupid things about products and places on Twitter.  People even pay famous people to be seen with their products, such as Starbucks. It is a new world we live in where simple ads don't work anymore.  Isn't her 15 minutes up yet?
~Here's a funny video explaining the strangeness of Star Trek and TNG. While they have some good points, like no money, but they leave out DS9.  DS9 pretty much deconstructs the Gene Roddenberry idea of the Trek world. And, those early TNG seasons were so entrenched in the Roddenberry idea that I think it harmed the show. It wasn't until the studio moved him out of the show-running and brought in Michael Piller.  And, DS9 was the end product of taking apart the concept of the Federation.
~Watching Mass Effect 3: While the graphics are much better, I still like the shades of gray to the Mass Effect 2 characters more. Sure, they make neat cameos in part 3, but they were a darker bunch. In ME3, They also have an open gay side human character. In the ME universe, gay marriage is legal, and it makes sense given we're heading in that direction anyway.
~A-Team Season 5: Wow, they completely changed the format of the show in its last season. When the ratings really started to dip, they changed the premise of the show to something like Mission Impossible. I've been watching the last season of the show, and it is interesting that they are no longer mercs, but now secret government agents working for a shady guy (General Hunt Stockwell ). They go around the world completing missions just like the IMF team. It is very strange to see this show take a different turn.
Also, they added another character to The A-Team (Frankie Santana). Santana was a FX guy that brought in explosives and other Hollywood things to the team. I actually think this worked for the show with the new character and the new premise. Check out this site for some more inside info about the A-Team. It is very good.
