_______________________________Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li Critics are in love with it (Not)
The Rotten Tomatoes site has some interesting reviews up.
While chatting at night, MC mentioned the reviews that were rolling in about the new Street Fighter movie. And they haven’t been that positive.
Then there is the box office take, it was just around 4.72 million. Something tells me the talk of a Street Fighter sequel isn't going to happen. I thought the movie would end up higher on the box office list.

((To add insult to injury, the film's creators are no doubt wincing at the news that the 1994 Street Fighter film -- a movie widely seen as being so bad that its existence is only justified by ironic nostalgia -- pulled in nearly $6.86 million in its first weekend. ))
Holy crap, the first movie beat this reboot movie.
No Street Fighter II for Chun-Li. Just rent the animated movie anyway.
dammit. i really wanted this movie to be good. I love the Chun-Li character.
ReplyDeleteoh and I think the #'s for the first movie were only inflated due to Raoul Julia dieing either in the middle of filming or right after.
Something like that.
Well, the first movie did have bigger actors in it too.
ReplyDeleteMayren: I think he died right after filming. Though I could be wrong. Julia really hams it up for this movie. I like Chu-Li too, but I heard the actress they was horrible
ReplyDeleteMC: And they did seem to promote the hell out of it. I still have some comic books that have the ads for the movie. Then there was the game based on the movie.
The movie based on the game with a videogame based on a movie.
