Censorship my ass

Are we that stupid that we fear Ads? Come on America get some real issues…

I was looking through Something awful.com and came across this terrible site.

Anyone that knows me knows how much I hate censorship. I think we spend too much time worrying about what TV shows our kids watch, and the games they play. We as Americans spend so much time talking about censorship, yet our education system continues to fail, and no one want to talk about it.

We live in a free society (such as it is), so we should not fall back to the government to protect our children from Hollywood. In a free society, it’s our responsibility to keep kids away from adult programming. It’s the government responsibility to help educate our children enough to make their own choices, which they are failing with a D-.

People tend to blame outside forces for their failures as a parent. There are two simple rules to follow.

1 If you want to keep harmful programming out of children’s mind and hearts, simply turn off the TV and make them read books. We shovel our kids off to get morals from characters on TV. Am I the only one finding this bizarre?

2 Teach your children basic concepts of right and wrong. Show them that TV is fake, not real. It’s that simple dumbasses. No step away from the damn TV yourself and be a parent.

It says something about our society, when children are more influenced by TV than what they learn in school or from the parents. That’s tragic part.

End of Rant
